I grew up in a little village in the middle of Bulgaria, surrounded by nature and people doing "gardening", growing vegetables and fruit. I was my dad's right hand when it came to digging, sowing, harvesting etc. and so my mum believes that gardening is in my blood... While I don't quite accept this statement (how can gardening be in my blood??) I do remember saying "I wish I could go and do some digging!" while 8 months pregnant with my first child. 5 years of University followed by married life in the city disconnected me from the earth. Life spun me around and pulled me further away from Nature.

Until 2020... That year I quit my hectic career in primary education and got an allotment!

This page is dedicated to our special garden that we lovingly call "The Haven" which was the reason we created

A Food-Growing Hardback Journal Planner for All Your Gardening Activities Which Also Includes Harvest Cooking & Preserving Recipes (300 pages)

A book designed to help vegetable growers to manage their gardening project. From mapping out the layout, deciding what to grow and where and the actual growing process right from seed planting through to harvesting.

What problem does the Companion solve?

A gardener has to keep track of a lot of information, mostly we do it in our heads, believing we will be able to recall everything that we did in previous years. Unfortunately that isn’t the case. This 300 page handbook provides a comprehensive resource to keep track of everything we might need for this year and subsequent years.

How does it solve the problem?

With comprehensive sections, encompassing all the activities in the garden, and ample space to record what went on, the Handbook builds to a comprehensive resource that will take all the hard work out of future seasons.

The book has over 300 pages enclosed in a durable hard back cover to ensure that it remains serviceable throughout the whole year. The book is evergreen in that it can be started in any month of the year, so…. Whenever your garden project begins!

What will be the benefit of using the Companion?

This handbook will get you organised, even if you have little gardening experience

It will encourage you to learn about best practice and write down important information about the vegetables and plants you want to grow, and of course learn from what happened the previous year(s)

When you buy the book you are Connected (online Discord server) to a community of “Growers” who are all sharing their experiences and supporting each other in fulfilling their garden goals.

Personal experience

This Handbook was born from the experience of not having one. But during the 3rd year of building a very successful food growing garden, we began to note all the information we thought we might need onto scraps of paper.

The book arrived at harvest time (another kind of harvest), just in time to record all the vegetable weights and quantities directly into the book.

During the winter we will be using the book to plan a new layout and reorganising some vegetables, plus recording the growing characteristics of plants we haven’t grown before, and working out which seeds we will need for the coming season.

Our Manifesto

This community is for people who genuinely believe that nature has all the answers for our happiness, freedom and health.

Now more than ever we are rediscovering the timeless forgotten wisdom of our grandparents and beyond, whose knowledge got lost replaced by the pursuit of profit, convenience and abuse of resources.

In this group we shall begin to rebuild our relationship with Mother Earth so we can experience balance, harmony and elevated levels of consciousness. Through doing things we've not done before such as gardening, crafts, drawing, tapping, dowsing, dancing, meditating, problem solving, etc. we will reconnect with the fun, enjoyment and happiness that our forefathers cherished working with nature and feeling a part of it.

While I was at my full time job I rarely had time to properly notice and appreciate the cycles of the seasons, the breathing pulse of the planet. Having spent a year developing an allotment from a wasteland into a living, breathing, lush garden, it became clear to me how modern society has bread out the joy of a simpler and more satisfying existence. It is so important nowadays to divert our attention back to the true source of life - Nature.

Nature is our birthright, it is what and who we are, so join us in the conversations as we support each other along the journey to true freedom, happiness and health.

Confucius said, “We have two lives, and the second one begins when we realize we only have one.”
