I've never been very good at fitting myself into one box.
Over the years, I've found myself drawn to all sorts of things, from natural wellness and personal growth to gardening, good food and creative pursuits such as writing, crocheting and sewing. I enjoy learning, making things and discovering new ways of looking at the world. Sometimes my interests overlap in unexpected ways; other times, they simply reflect different parts of who I am.
There's a word, polymath, for someone whose interests span a variety of fields. I'm not sure I'd claim the title, but I like the idea behind it: that we don't have to limit ourselves to one subject, one talent or one way of being.
Of course, having lots of interests doesn't mean having everything figured out. I have my share of fears, worries and moments of self-doubt. Sometimes I hesitate, overthink things or wonder whether I'm making the right choices. New beginnings can be exciting, but they can also be unsettling, especially when there's no guarantee that things will work out as hoped.
I've come to realise that you don't have to feel fearless to make a change, or be completely confident before trying something new. Sometimes you move forward with enthusiasm; sometimes you take a small step while feeling uncertain. And sometimes you need to pause, reconsider or give yourself a little time. I'm still learning to accept all of that.
What matters to me is having the freedom to keep discovering what I enjoy, what feels meaningful and what kind of life I want to create. I don't believe we need to have a single, clearly defined purpose that explains everything about us. We can be interested in many things, change our minds and allow different parts of ourselves to emerge at different stages of life.
This website brings together some of those interests, ideas and projects. They may not all fit neatly into the same category, but they belong to the same person: someone who enjoys creating, learning and exploring, while still figuring things out along the way.
If you've ever felt that you're too many things to be just one, or that there's still more you'd like to try, perhaps you'll feel at home here.
I'm glad you're here.
